Gun Violence Advocacy
Gun violence advocacy did not begin with Sandy Hook or Parkland. On Mother's day 2000, more than 750,000 people marched on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and tens of thousands of others marched in towns across North America to demonstrate support for sensible gun laws. I was there to photograph the culmination of the Million Mom March's public awareness effort which was developed into a national advertising campaign. In the wake of so many more deaths these images are a reminder of how much has yet to change.
